Lincoln Beach is one of the primary locations for summer time wind in Utah. Located on the southern end of Utah Lake at a shoreline city park, Lincoln is both easy to access and receives an open fetch of consistent wind. |

A summertime wind tunnel that venturis north wind from the Great Salt Lake and is open to southerly winds as well. Shallow water that is rarerly over waist deep, and often dries up in late summer. Rush delivers some of the best winds in Utah. Fed from an underground spring, the water is fresh and likely from nearby snowpacks draining into the basin. The surface on the other hand is quite different, the lake and surrounding ground turns to a slick mud when wet. So you may want to pack a 5 gallon water jug or solar shower for rinsing off after any baptisms at Rush. Summer time brings surprise thunderstorms, so keep an eye over the shoulder for developing clouds that could create lightning or poltergusts. |
