Heather has been Snowkiting passionately since her first opportunity in 2001 at Park City's Kimball Junction.  She has followed the wind around the world riding in mountain ranges from Alaska to France and she enjoys pushing the sport in her own directions, taking her snowboarding farther from the lift lines and deeper into the backcountry.  Heather has particpated in Snowkite competitions around the globe including the Semnoz World Championships, and currently holds 1st place titles at the Montana Snowkite Rodeo and Skyline's US Open Snowkite Masters.  These days she can be found enjoying windy days in Utah's backcountry and hosting clinics with Kite Utah near her backyard spot at Skyline.

Heather has spent her entire life in a winter wonderland, growing up in Lake Tahoe and later living at the Lee Canyon Ski Area near Las Vegas.  Skiing since age 3 and Snowboarding at 15 years old when boards first hit resorts, she has been sliding on the snow every winter of her life.  In 2001 Heather moved to Utah in search of the 'Greatest Snow on Earth' and quickly turned in her season pass for full time Snowkiting.  That first Utah pass was only used 3 days, as every morning she went out skiing the wind was blowing, and she found herself hanging on to a kite as she discovered un-touched powder stashes that had previously never been skied.

Snowkiting has allowed Heather to ski and board non-stop while exploring new terrain and riding areas, without waiting in lift lines and sitting on cold chair lifts.  On a typical day, Heather will find herself laying tracks, covering up to 50 miles in a 3 hour session, all before heading to work at Windzup distribution in nearby Mt. Pleasant. Heather loves working with groups and has created women-specific clinics for new Snowkiters, lessons can be scheduled with Heather at Strawberry or Skyline any time during winter.
